Does 1225 fit all faucets like this? Is the cartridge the problem? Ed Daniels asked on 2019-12-31 Hello Ed, thank you for your question. Yes, the most likely issue is the cartridge, based on your description of the issue. I hope this helps. I have a one piece show handle that became a leaky stream.. I believe that it has a cartilage because I pulled out the pin but was unsuccessful in pulling out the cartilage. It looks like that it has a white long plastic piece in front where I pulled out the cartilage... I hope I explain myself well... thanks Patty asked on 2019-12-29 Hello Patty and thank you for writing. We would be happy to do some research to find you the correct parts. Please contact us anytime. where do I find the model number on my shower and tub faucet Aaron Weida asked on 2019-09-09 Hello Aaron, thank you for your question. For sink faucets, look at the front of the spout. The logo may also be on the base of the spout, where it meets the sink, either on the front or the back. For shower faucets, look on the round plate (escutcheon) behind the handle, on the handle itself, or perhaps on the actual valve behind the wall. I hope this helps! I have a single lever Moen shower faucet. I tried to replace the cartridge but the plastic tool you supply just broke apart. I've tried this twice with no luck. what can I do to get the old cartridge out? Susan asked on 2019-08-19 Hello Susan, Thanks for your question. Take off the round center cover. Remove the screw while holding the handle and turning the screwdriver counterclockwise. Loosen the cover screws. Score caulking with a knife around the cover then pull it off. Turn the water off. There should be a locking clip at the front of the valve, pull it out, you may need a screwdriver to start it off. Use a pair of pliers or vise grips and try to twist the cartridge back and forth to loosen the o-ring seal. After you can get to twist both ways pull it straight out. We hope this helps! I have a Moen shower faucet that has no hot water. Can you tell me about the check valve on the hot side? Sean for model number 1225 asked on 2019-07-08 Hello Sean, If no water, or a spluttering supply, comes out of the hot tap when its opened, the likely cause is an air lock. ... Turn on the hot water valve and then the cold water valve. This will now allow the greater pressure of the cold water to push any air back up the hot water pipe. Hope this helps I have a moon bathroom sink faucet that I believe takes the 1225 cartridge , it has gold colored handle "L" shaped .How to remove this handle , the gold part comes off with a threaded bolt but not seeing how to get the rest of this off to get to the cartridge john asked on 2018-11-15 Hi John, thank you for your question.
